Angela Miller will receive $50,400 to continue the project “Countermoderns: Reason and Magic in the Artistic and Literary Circle of Lincoln Kirstein.” Kirstein was a founder of the New York City Ballet, and an advocate for gay and bisexual artists such as Jared French, Paul Cadmus, and George Tooker.
