Mo Stein
Graduate Student, MA
Mo Stein is a first-year MA student and graduate fellow in the Digital Art History Lab, focusing primarily on material culture and archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean and North Africa. They received their BA in Archaeology with a Classics minor from Willamette University in 2021 and has participated in two excavations in Greece: one at the Amyklaion in Sparta (2022), and the other at Nikopolis (2023). They are most interested in how technology, art, and visual language are transmitted and adapted through cultural contact, especially between Egypt and the Greco-Roman world. Mo is also fascinated with experimental archaeology and its potential applications in the public humanities.
