Dr. Childs's seminar, "Cahokia and Contemporary: Native American Arts, Past(s) and Future," received the Rotating Graduate Studio Award from the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity, which will be taught in Spring of 2025. The course explores Native American art's demand for a primary place in both American and global art histories while engaging with boarder Saint Louis and neighboring states' Native American communities.
