Orin Zahra has been selected to receive an honorarium from Smarthistory for the publication of an essay on Smarthistory and Khan Academy on the Hungarian-Indian modernist painter, Amrita Sher-Gil (1913—1941). The initiative, funded by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, supports emerging scholars who have suffered financial hardship due to the pandemic.
