This past spring semester, the Department held three fields trips for undergraduates and graduates to view art collections in person, our first out-of-town field trips since 2019. The Department was thrilled to send students and faculty to the Art Institute in Chicago and the Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis County!
Thanks to a generous gift from a Department alumna, four classes were able to visit the Art Institute in Chicago during the month of April.
Our PhD candidate Tola Porter led a group tour at the Laumeier Sculpture Park, where students and faculty explored sculptural works in nature on a sunny Saturday afternoon!
