Lacy will be teaching two lectures for the Department this Spring: "The "Orient": Europe and Islamic Art from 1851 to Today" and "By Sea and Sand: Modern Art in the Mediterranean."
Lacy Murphy chaired a panel and presented part of her dissertation at the Middle East Studies Association annual meeting this past November in Montréal.
Jay Buchanan undertook a Mentored Professional Experience in Fall 2023, serving as Art Exhibition Project Manager for Moving Stories.
The experience combined professional development with historical insights on how artists, arts workers, and arts organizations relate today.
The exhibition opens on February 17, 2024.
Dr. Childs received the Rotating Graduate Studio Award from the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, & Equity for the Spring of 2025.
Third-year PhD Candidate will be present his paper titled “Co-Conspirators: Impressionism, Tourism, and the Invention of Modern Thailand” at the CAA 112th Annual Conference in February 2024.
